The Ebb and Flow are from San Francisco. They were pretty good. Male and Female singers. Female drummer. The female singer had a giant keyboard setup with two or three boards and one operated by her feet. Interesting stuff. Variable rhythms and interplay between guitar and keys. Indie, I guess.

Juan Guerrero and his band are from Brooklyn, which makes their almost alt-country thing seem kind of weird. Good guitar work, good vocals. Good improvisation with slide. I'd see them again.

Tiger Bear Wolf are from North Carolina. They exist in that place where Fugazi meets '70s rock and roll. And they play excessively loud. The volume against which you must steel yourself. The volume at which when they stop playing and you realize all your muscles are clenched. So, yeah, good stuff. Unfortunately, though, it was also the volume where the vocals were inaudible. Still, I do occassionally like to see a couple of guys just play the shit out of their guitars. So, they satisfied that.
